EXPANDIDO

My practice moves through weaving, embodied repetition, meditation, and image-making. I investigate how the body navigates the friction between ancestral memory and technological acceleration.

Across digital and analogue media, I search for the exact "tropic". The invisible inflection where something ceases to be what it was, yet has not fully become what it will be.

about.

Nicolas Ezra Prieto (b. 1988, Bogotá, Colombia) is a Colombian artist and creative director whose practice moves across material experimentation, systems thinking, and visual culture. Working between art, design, and collaborative processes, he explores making as a form of inquiry. Objects, images, and structures operate as means of transformation.

His work engages questions of material intelligence, expanded craft, and the porous boundaries between disciplines. Rooted in both conceptual reflection and hands-on production, Prieto approaches the studio as a space of research, where process holds as much significance as outcome.

Alongside his artistic practice, he leads HUBOH, a Bogotá-based creative studio, and has developed projects in dialogue with cultural institutions, independent initiatives, and community-based collaborations.

He lives and works in Medellín and Barichara.
